Meetings of businessmen from two countries as well as different presentations are going to take place that day. Different aspects of international cooperation were discussed during the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Venkatesh Varma and Mayor Sergei Kravchuk’s meeting at Khabarovsk City Administration. The diplomat arrived to our city on his way to Vladivostok.
“We’re aimed at the development of the relationship with the Russian Far East. We have proposals in the field of timber industry, ceramics industry, agricultural sector and tourism. We really want Khabarovsk to become the main city in the region we have close economical relations”, Venkatesh Varma mentioned.
The diplomat offered to organize Day of India in Khabarovsk. According to the Indian party it’s better to hold the festival and business meetings next summer.
“We have a lot of things to show and offer our Indian partners in Khabarovsk: investment projects, proposals from city businesses, tourism development joint projects. The festival will allow our citizens to feel Indian culture”, Sergei Kravchuk stated.
Having discussed working issues the head of the Indian delegation shared his impressions about Khabarovsk.
“Cities on big rivers in India have special status. Khabarovsk is similar to them in this respect as it’s truly beautiful and magnificent”, the diplomat said.
