Delegation of Children Visited Niigata as Part of Program Habatake-21
Six children fr om Khabarovsk have returned fr om Niigata, wh ere they spent a week from 21 to 28 August, this week.
The name of the program is “Children who are Flying on Wings of the Future into XXI Century”. Delegations from Russian cities of Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, Chinese cities of Harbin and Xian, South Korean City of Ulsan and Japanese city of Niigata have taken part in it this year.
The itinerary included lot of different events. The members of delegations visited Children’s and Young People’s House of Nature Myoko wh ere they took part in sporting events “Habatake”. They cooked lunch outside, sang and danced, watched the stars in the night sky, could experience Japanese culture and the way of life of Japanese families.
They also had an excursion around Dainichi plant. Mayor of Niigata Mr. SINODA Akira took part in the children’s press conference in the publishing house of Niigata Nippo Media Ship. The members of the delegations talked about the countries they are from and their experiences in Japan.
The children participated in a tea ceremony, lesson of calligraphy in the Japanese language at Children’s and Young People’s Centre Ohata. The international project Habatake-21 provided Khabarovsk children a wonderful experience of international communication. They also got an opportunity to gain new shills of team work. The visit was very interesting and informative for the children.
